“ Can You Help My Son? ”
1 oktober, 2008
Once again, our Moscow and Yaroslavl ministry leader Gennady Dolbin and I were driving to the farm and rehab center in Yaroslavl.
As always, we were discussing how to work more effectively. We were happy for the progress that had been made, yet apprehensive about the things that were not moving forward.
Gennady’s phone rang, interrupting our talk. “My son is a drug user. Can you help?” I heard a mother share her pain. Gennady’s calm, deep voice encouraged the troubled mother, as many others before: “Come on Friday. Everything will be OK.” After a few more kind words from Gennady the call ended with the mother amazed that rehabilitation at our center was free of charge.
